Meridian Associates supported Bluewave, a solar farm developer, with design and permitting of the Lake Lashaway 5MW (AC) hybrid photovoltaic (PV) project in North Brookfield, MA. Meridian provided comprehensive technical support highlighted by drone-based LiDAR and traditional Survey work, as well as Engineering Site Design, Stormwater Design and Analysis, Conservation Commission and Planning Board engagement.

The project to develop this ground-mounted PV array site included an on-site Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), Stormwater Management systems, and an electric grid interconnection. Built on two contiguous land parcels totaling approximately 77 Acres of largely wooded land, the topography required Meridian to site an array on each parcel separated by an electrical transmission line easement.

Today, the installation ranks among the top 50 most productive solar farms in Massachusetts out of more than 500 based on annual net electricity generation.
