Danvers, MA...
Meridian Associates, Inc., a Land Surveying, Civil Engineering and Landscape Architecture firm has been retained to provide 3D High Definition Laser Scanning services to assist with restoration efforts through the digital mapping and documentation of the interior and exterior conditions of the U.S.S. Constitution the oldest remaining commission ship of the U.S. Navy located in Boston Harbor.

The Constitution—called "Old Ironsides" because bullets could not penetrate her tough oak sides—was one of the first of the original six frigates that made up the U.S. Navy. A 44-gun frigate built at the Edmond Hartt Shipyard, Boston, Massachusetts, in 1797. Meridian was contracted to conduct high definition scans of the deck gun and spar deck to generate plans of existing structural members for renovations.
