Through these charitable contributions Meridian Associates is able to support programs essential to local communities and society as a whole.

YMCA North Shore
The YMCA of the North Shore is committed to the values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility, providing children, adults, and families, regardless of income, with opportunities to develop a healthy spirit, mind and body.
Montserrat College of Art
Montserrat College of Art provides an intensive visual arts education that enables students to sustain a lifelong involvement in art and design and to become informed, responsible members of society.
Mass Energy Consumers Alliance
A non-profit organization that advocates and acts in the marketplace on behalf of consumers and the environment.
MECA also offers renewable energy options such as New England GreenStart and the New England Wind Fund. MECAs charitable programs benefit low-income households and other nonprofit organizations.
Red Cross
Founded in 1881 by visionary leader Clara Barton, the American Red Cross has been the nation's premier emergency response organization. As part of a worldwide movement that offers neutral humanitarian care to the victims of war, the American Red Cross distinguishes itself by also aiding victims of devastating natural disasters.
Habitat for Humanity
Habitat has built more than 100,000 houses worldwide. Cape Ann Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit, ecumenical housing ministry dedicated to eliminating poverty housing and homelessness from the world, with a commitment to making decent shelter a matter of conscience and action.
Through volunteer labor and donations of money and materials, Habitat builds and rehabilitates simple, decent houses with the help of the homeowner (partner) families. Meridian Associates, Inc. has assisted through the donation of professional services, construction materials, consultation, and on-site volunteer labor to assist with the goals of the Habitat organization.

U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) Member
The U.S Green Building Council is the nation’s foremost coalition of leaders dedicated to sustainable building design and construction.
LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design)
LEED certification of staff is highly enforced. Meridian has also worked on many projects that have received LEED Certification. The LEED Green Building Rating System, developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), provides a suite of standards for environmentally sustainable construction. Since its inception in 1998, LEED has grown to encompass more than 14,000 projects in 50 U.S. States and 30 countries covering 1.062 billion square feet of development area.
EPA Green Power Partner
As a Green Power Partner, Meridian is recognized as an environmental leader, dedicated to purchasing clean, renewable Green Power through Renewable Energy Certificates. Green Power is electricity produced from a subset of renewable resources, such as solar, wind, geothermal, biomass, and low-impact hydro. Buying Green Power is one of the easiest and most effective ways to improve your organization’s environmental performance.
New England Wind Fund
Meridian purchases Renewable Energy Certificates (REC’s) from the New England Wind Fund ensuring our electricity is generated from clean, renewable energy sources.
Certified Energy Star Provider
As a Certified Energy Star Service Provider, Meridian Associates is educated in the latest energy efficient products to help clients make smart energy decisions that are good for the environment and save them money. ENERGY STAR is a joint program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy helping us all save money and protect the environment through energy efficient products and practices. Results are already adding up. Americans, with the help of ENERGY STAR, saved enough energy in 2008 alone to avoid greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to those from 29 million cars — all while saving $19 billion on their utility bills.
Massachusetts Association of Conservation Commissions
Soon after the first Conservation Commissions were formed in the late 1950s it became evident that they would benefit greatly from educational materials describing their duties and outlining methods of attaining their goals. The need to disseminate and expand the information in these materials, to explain state government and to discuss ways of improving the citizen's role in environmental protection, led to the formation of the Massachusetts Association of Conservation Commissions in 1961.
Waste Wise Member
The Waste Wise Endorser Program engages state and local government agencies, trade associations, nonprofit organizations, and businesses to help educate their members and constituents about the benefits of reducing solid waste.
B-Green Collaborative
An organization dedicated to chronicling Green Energy activities in businesses, communities, states, universities, government agencies and throughout the world. Their mission is to increase Green Energy awareness in people from all walks of life, to provide resources and information in support of Green Energy initiatives, and to collaboratively push for a greener future on this planet.
New England Environmental Business Council
The EBC, a nonprofit organization, was conceived in 1990 by environmental and energy company executives who began meeting on a regular basis to exchange ideas and share experiences. Their goal is to enhance business and job growth of both established and emerging environmental and energy businesses.
American Forests
American Forests works to protect, restore and enhance the natural capital of trees and forests. Meridian has donated to American Forests by purchasing 100 trees to be planted to help assist in reducing our carbon footprint.
ASCE American Society of Civil Engineers
The ASCE Foundation provides support for programs that enhance quality of life, promote the profession, advance technical practices, and prepare civil engineers for tomorrow.
MALSCE Massachusetts Association of Land Surveyors & Civil Engineers
MALSCE protects the interests of property owners statewide and enhanced the overall status of the land surveying and civil engineering professions.
ACSM American Congress on Surveying and Mapping
ACSM is a non-profit educational organization whose goal is to advance the sciences of surveying and mapping and related fields, in furtherance of the welfare of those who use and make maps.
NHLSA New Hampshire Land Surveyors Association
The New Hampshire Land Surveyors Association exists to promote the profession of surveying, mapping, land information systems and related fields to support the advancement of technologies, and to help ensure that these professional activities provide for the safety and welfare of the general public.
MSLS Maine Society of Land Surveyors
The Maine Society of Land Surveyors was founded for the benefit and fellowship of Land Surveying Profession. As a forum for learning and enhancement of the profession, MSLS liaisons regionally with local chapters to allow membership and representation statewide of the Land Surveying Profession.
National Society of Professional Surveyors
NSPS provides the platform by which members can share their thoughts and opinions about our common interests through business meetings /committees, regional groups, and student chapters. It also provides a forum for input from other groups such as the National Association of County Surveyors, members of state boards of registration, and the Forum for State Surveying Society Executives.
Boston Society of Civil Engineers
The Boston Society of Civil Engineers Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers (BSCES) is a professional organization that excels in its technical programs, enhances the professional growth of its members, advances engineering knowledge and works to improve the standards of practice.
American Society of Landscape Architects
Founded in 1899, the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) is the national professional association representing landscape architects. ASLA promotes the landscape architecture profession and advances the practice through advocacy, education, communication, and fellowship.
Boston Society of Landscape Architects
The Boston Society of Landscape Architects is a chapter of the national organization the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA). Our chapter consists of Landscape Architects in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine.
