3D Laser Scanning and Surveying-Newark Brewery Upgrade

Objective:
To provide a case study for the use of laser scanning on an object of complex geometry.
Description:
3D Laser Scanning and Dimensional Control services were performed in support of a brewery modernization project. Laser scans were taken down corridors on five floors, and registered to plant coordinates. Information collected was delivered as a laser scan model, to be utilized for conceptual design, design verification, interference detection and verification. Scans were published to a web-enabled viewing format, and delivered to the client to aid in project coordination.
