Seabrook Station came online in 1990 and provides enough electricity to meet the annual energy needs of more than 900,000 residential customers. The Association of Nuclear Operators has rated Seabrook Station as one of the best performing U.S. nuclear power plants.

FPL Energy, the owner of 83% of the plant, has a comprehensive security program in place as well as extensive security measures to ensure the security of the Seabrook facility. Survey construction services were provided to support security initiatives to assist with protective measures instituted since the World Trade Center attack on September 11, 2001. Creating peripheral barriers and impediments to access is a top priority for plant security and the nuclear industry in general. Employee and visitor parking facilities, handicap ramps, lighting, and pedestrian walkways were relocated to improve safety concerns.
