- Civil Engineer Opportunities
Seeking key personnel to support an emerging workload and help develop new business opportunities. The successful candidate(s) must be ambitious and eager to contribute to the success of a growing organization. Prior experience in the planning, design, permitting, and construction administration of public infrastructure improvements including roadways, sidewalks, streetscape, utility systems (water, sewer and drain), parks and recreational facilities, and site development is welcome.
The successful candidate(s) shall have a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, a minimum of 5 years experience, EIT (PE preferred), AutoCAD proficiency, and excellent communication skills.

- Party Chief:
Minimum of five years experience in construction, Boundary, Topographic and
GPS surveying. Must have excellent math skills and be a problem solver with
good communication skills.
- Project Engineer:
Minimum of six years experience. Must be familiar with state, local and
federal permitting procedures. Must possess good
working skills with AutoCadd/Softdesk. Experience in the design of site grading, civil related
utilities, environmental and stormwater management methods required. P.E.
registration preferred.
- Instrument Person:
Preferred one (1) year experience in land surveying and construction layout.
Should be familiar with total station instruments and electronic data collector.
Will consider training inexperienced applicant.
- Staff Engineers:
Individuals must have a minimum of three years experience.
Must be familiar with AutoCAD 2000/Land Development Desktop R2, site grading, drainage,
and utility design. Soil Evaluator preferred but not required. EIT required.
- Senior Project Engineer PE:
We are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager, PE required, to become part of our team in our Beverly, MA office.
Meridian Associates, Inc. (MAI) is a multi-disciplinary planning, civil engineering, land surveying and landscape
architecture firm. We offer land development and infrastructure consulting services to corporate, commercial,
industrial, institutional and public clients. These services encompass the complete development process from
initial site acquisition studies to final compliance certification.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Manage large, complex and technically demanding projects, that typically include civil,
environmental and transportation components.
- Oversee all phases of project development from schematic design through construction administration.
- Make major project decisions in conjunction with clients and regulators.
- Manage a diverse staff of civil engineers.
Develop effective professional relationships with clients, potential clients, other firms, and sub-consultants.
- Prepare proposals including fee estimates.
The ideal candidate possesses a minimum of 12 years of civil engineering experience, much of it in the
civil/site area, including at least 3 years at a Project Manager level; the ability to work effectively
with a diversity of people, both internally and externally; strong communication skills including client
presentation and negotiation skills; strong people and project management skills. A PE license is required.

Position involves the design of site utilities, stormwater management systems, sewage disposal systems, roadway layout,
site grading and some field work. Experience with Haestad Methods, AutoCAD/LDD, BSCE, EIT, excellent written and oral
skills and 3-5 years experience required. Working toward PE registration desired.
- Landscape Architect:
Meridian Associates, Inc. is seeking a mid-level landscape architect with practical design experience,
strong AutoCAD skills and project management exposure. Technical responsibilities include site layout,
grading, planting/lighting design, detailing, construction drawings/specs and construction administration.

- Survey/CAD Technician:
Meridian Associates is seeking a junior level Survey/CAD technician for our growing
New Jersey office. We are seeking one or more individuals with surveying and/or
design background for our 3D Laser Scanning Services Group. The opportunity will
include design drafting and modeling, and field data collection using state-of-the-art
3D laser scanning systems.
The ideal candidate will have field and instrument experience with a willingness to
travel. Individual must have MicroStation or AutoCad experience, 3D is preferred.
Specific discipline experience in mechanical piping, civil structural or architecture
is a plus.
Office responsibilities will include design drafting, 3D modeling and scan data processing.
Field travel will take you to a wide range of locations including commercial facilities,
industrial plants and municipal locations to assist laser scanning data collection operations.
